Rojava Aid Campaign 2014

In the aim of providing medical aid to the victims of the ongoing war in Western Kurdistan (Rojava), the board of KEMSA decided to hold several seminars in various European cities, such as Riga, Brno and Prague, in order to spread information about the war situation and the status of the Refugee camps located in Southern Kurdistan. Following topics were discussed during the seminars:

  • KEMSA Rojava Aid Campaign
  • Background information on the Kurds and Kurdistan
  • Information about the war in Rojava
  • The situation in the refugee camps located in South of Kurdistan
  • KEMSA Medical Team 2014

The seminars were held in correlation with collection of money donations, which later in the summer of 2014 were utilized by the KEMSA medical team who visited various refugee camps in southern Kurdistan and providing medical aid to the local refugees. Rojava aid campaign seminar in Riga, Latvia

 

The seminar was held on February 15th 2014, at Riga Stradins Univeristy, for an audience of approxmately 40 people. The presenters of the seminar were Evin Güven, Midia Mohammed-Amin, Briar Osman Mostafa and Aram Azizi. During the seminar, 400 Euros were collected.

Rojava aid campaign seminar in Prague, Czech Republic

The seminar was held on May 7th, at the Anglo-American University. The presenters of the seminar were Reband Ahmed and Martyna Bercovitch. The audience consisted of students of various ethnicities and degrees. This seminar was also held in correlation with collection of donations.

The seminar was held on May 5th 2014, at Masaryk University, Faculty of Medicine. The presenters of the seminar were Reband Ahmed and Aram Azizi. The audience consisted of students of various ethnicities and degrees. The seminar was held in correlation with collection of donations.
