The Annual Meeting 2016 took place on the 8th of October
at the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany.
The executive board, the international board as well as reprentatives of several countries from all around Europe came together to make
future-oriented decisions and to present past and future KEMSA projects.

KEMSA vice president Dilava Bingöl welcomed the attendants and introduced KEMSA - the beginnings, the history and the major projects of the last few years. Subsequently organizational topics were discussed and decided democratically.

 

After the lunch break several presentations were conducted:
Serdest Demir held a presentation about “Project Management”, where he talked about how to make a project successful - what to bear in mind, be careful of, prework, process and afterwork. The aim is to make future projects well developed and well planned. The presentation will be uploaded to KEMSA facebook page and will be used as a guideline for any future project.

 

Evin Güven and Bano Abdulrahman presented the project from Bashur Aid 2016 and discussed several related topics about the project with the members.

 

Remezan Ҫiya talked about the KEMSA Help by Art 2016 project that was used to collect money for the KEMSA Bashur Aid 2016 project.

 

Evin Güven and Remezan Ҫiya suggested a new project - Bakur Aid in August 2017. The aim is to help people as much as they can with basic necessities for the catastrophe left after the attacks on kurdish cities.

Individual videos of KEMSA members were made during the day.
The videos ("We are KEMSA") are supposed to be used in the social media in order to arouse interest for being a KEMSA member.

 

Bano Abdulrahman and Aheng Barzanji made a short presentation on helping families of deceased Peshmerga in Bashur.

 

Juan Sidek held a presentation about a medical aid project in Austria called
"Helping North-Iraq". The projects aims to help children
between 0-18 years with a congenital heart disease/defect (CHD).
The project is conducted by the Kurdistan For Children Organization/KFC.

 

Furthermore, the Annual Meeting was used as an opportunity to improve networking
and to strengthen the bonds between the members.
A number of social activities helped to achieve that purpose.
