Help By Art 2016

After our successful project “Help By Bracelets” in 2014 where we collected 2500 Euros and provided medicine, food and school material like notebooks and pencils to hundreds of refugees in Turkish refugee camps, we have successfully completed our second campaign “ Help By Art ” of the Kemsa-series “Help By…”.

Several Kurdish Artists and friends have shown their great performances last Saturday in Frankfurt am Main and deeply impressed our audience including Mehmet Tanriverdi vice-chairman of the biggest Kurdish Union “KGD”, Eleonore Heuer, a well-known personality in Frankfurt’s PR Business and Zemfira Dlovani, former head of the German-Kurdish Lawyers Union. Yosef Bekir’s paintings enlightened the small book café with their spirit of fear, hope and love. Marine who recited her poems about flight and expulsion moved the audience to tears. And Brahim Shexo, son of the popular Kurdish Folk-Musician “Mihmet Shexo” has perfectly expressed Kemsa’s idea of uniting Occident and Orient and showed that they perfectly harmonize. Amongst his music pieces, performed by pianist Bongju Lee and Violinist Julia Parusch, was Kurdish rhapsody I, II, III including elements of famous Kurdish folk music melodies like “Shekhani” which accompany several Kurdish folklore dances. The evening was closed with the famous Kurdish folk song “Kevokim” played on the “Oud” by Brahim and his brother Revand who especially came from Sweden to support our refugee aid campaign.

We collected thousand Euros for our 2016 aid campaign “Help Syrian Refugees in North Iraq”. A delegation of 6 doctors will fly to Erbil in northern Iraq end of August, 2016 and take care of refugees in the camp “Darashakran” where 10.000 refugees wait for the end of the war in Syria and hope for a normal life. We aim to buy oral rehydration therapies and hygiene packages.

We still urgently need support and would highly appreciate further donations. The refugees have life-threatening illnesses and are in need of medication. A tax-deducible receipt of donations will be sent to the donator.
